Eminem Raps About Raping Iggy Azalea, Aussie Singer Responds: 'I'm Bored of the Old Men Threatening Young Women'

Eminem has gained yet another enemy. The entertainer rapped about raping Iggy Azalea in his new song “Vegas” that leaked this week — and she’s not happy about it. The Australian rapper took to Twitter on Thursday, Nov. 20, to respond to the cringe-worthy,controversial lyrics.

"I’m bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz," the 24-year-old "Fancy" singer tweeted.

"It’s especially awkward because my 14 year old brother is the biggest eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!" she continued. "Women in music have the bigger balls anyhow we endure much more harassment and critic."
In his new track, Eminem appears to tell Azalea to put away her rape whistle. “Unless you’re Nicki [Minaj]/grab you by the wrist let’s ski/so what’s it gonna be/put that s—t away Iggy/You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me,” the song goes.

The lyrics come just days after Eminem threatened to punch Lana Del Rey in the face in his freestyle rap video “SHADYXV – THE CXVPHER” off his upcoming Shady XVcompilation album.

Motown Singer Jimmy Ruffin Dies at Age 78

NEW YORK (AP) — Jimmy Ruffin, the Motown singer whose hits include “What Becomes of the Brokenhearted” and “Hold on to My Love,” died Monday in a Las Vegas hospital. He was 78.
Philicia Ruffin and Jimmy Lee Ruffin Jr., the late singer’s children, confirmed Wednesday that Ruffin had died. There were no details about the cause of death.
Ruffin was the older brother of Temptations lead singer David Ruffin, who died in 1991 at age 50.

"Jimmy Ruffin was a rare type of man who left his mark on the music industry. My family in its entirety is extremely upset over his death. He will truly be missed," a statement from Philicia Ruffin and the Ruffin family said. "We will treasure the many fond and wonderful memories we all have of him."

The warped beat has odd sound effects that sound like they were ripped from a video game, and it doesn’t sound like something Push would usually rap over, but it’s produced by Kanye West, so there’s your explanation.

YouTube’s Music Subscription Service Launches Monday — Here’s What To Expect

YouTube has become a database of just about any music you could want to hear, but its more popular songs require you to watch an ad before you can listen. Tomorrow (November 17), the streaming video site will start to offer a paid subscription alternative
for listeners called Music Key.

Like Spotify and Rdio, Music Key will charge a monthly fee in exchange for legal, ad-free music. The promotional price of the service is $7.99 a month; after an initial window, it’ll ring up as $9.99, the same price as the highest tier of Spotify subscriptions.

Unlike Spotify, though, Music Key will let you watch videos for free, not just stream audio. You’ll be able to get everything that’s now licensed on YouTube, plus you’ll be able to watch selected music videos even without an internet connection

Spotify has become one of the most ubiquitous and successful online music streaming services by providing access to a huge amount of music by almost every artist you can think of for free (with ads) or for just $10 a month (for the ad-free service). Music streaming has changed the landscape of the music industry in the last year, giving consumers even further reason to not purchase the music they listen to and helping album sales plummet to all-time lows. Spotify in particular has been called out for paying artists very little even though the company claims to give back much of its revenue to musicians. Obviously this doesn’t make some famous musicians very happy, and in return for what they believe are Spotify’s manipulative practices these musicians refuse to allow the service access to their music. Here’s a list of seven artists whose music is not available on Spotify.
